Working with Cindy! We've been friends-who-work-together for the past 6 years and this was our first in-depth project partnership. We started out the process by doing 5 hours worth of story producing calls, where she invited me to delve into her past and help find the right personal stories to highlight in the episodes. I'm so proud of her vulnerability and authenticity in this series, and it's amazing that the person I know behind the camera is exactly who you see on screen!

Creating bilingual social videos. Accessibility was one of our core values for the series. When creating the social videos, we made sure to have both English and Spanish captions burned-in. Cindy said it was the first time she could show her mom one of her videos without having to live-translate.

Collaborating with the team at RAVA films. We partnered with this production company throughout the process and I appreciated their kindness, artistic sensibilities, and all the fun that they brought to both virtual meetings and the set.

Animating the fun graphics throughout the series. It's not everyday you get to animate a snowball with a dollar sign rolling down a hill.
